CoughDrop Legacy 1.1 Release Notes
This release will fix major issues, and improve reliability for CoughDrop web and mobile applications.
Major Fixes

Reliability Improvements

Known Issues

Purchases made in the Apple App Store are not reflected in the app.

Workarounds available: encourage users to make all purchases in the application, and not from the app store. Manual intervention is required by CoughDrop staff at this time.

Some voices will not load in the Android mobile app.

Android mobile app does not sync, and must be connected to the internet.

Users are unable to open or play YouTube links from within CoughDrop (Windows and Chromebooks), as well as on other platforms and devices. The issue is not isolated to a single environment and affects both the web and app versions.

Some users have reported that they are unable to access their premium boards in CoughDrop AAC, despite having an active subscription. This issue appears to affect a subset of accounts where board access permissions are not syncing correctly with the user's subscription status.

Workarounds available: In the meantime, users experiencing this problem can contact support for temporary access or assistance.

This release includes major system updates and reliability improvements for both web and mobile versions of CoughDrop AAC.

Known Issues

Apple App Store Purchases Not Reflected in App

Purchases made through the Apple App Store do not currently sync to the app.
Workaround: Encourage users to make purchases directly within the app. Manual intervention by CoughDrop staff is required. -
Android App Voice Loading Issues

Android mobile app must remain connected to the internet to sync. Offline syncing is currently unavailable. -
YouTube Links Not Opening
Users are unable to open or play YouTube links from within CoughDrop on Windows, Chromebooks, and some other devices. -
Premium Boards Access Issue
Some users with active subscriptions report being unable to access their premium boards due to syncing issues with subscription permissions.
Workaround: Users can contact support for temporary access or assistance while a permanent fix is developed.
